Warm Up That Conservatory
Although they are fantastic to be in from spring through until autumn, many conservatories are underused in the winter months, This can often be because the cost of heating them can be very high - so what can you do?
Our tried and tested system
At Lister Windows we use our own designed lightweight system for conservatory insulation and under-drawing.
Firstly, a double layer of Thermawrap insulation is secured in place using the specially designed foil tape - two layers of Thermawrap has the equivalent insulation properties of 110mm of rigid insulation.
Once this is in place, the hollow, white, vented, u-PVC ship-lap panels are secured in place, using secretive fixing so that there are no ugly screw heads showing. Joints are then sealed and the newly under-drawn roof is given a quick wipe to remove any dust, and that's it.
Some systems on the market require plastering, a dusty job in its own right, and then you are usually left with the job of painting the bare plaster when the fitters have finished. with our system, when we leave, we leave you with finished job!
Planning Permission
Planning permission is not required for insulating and under-drawing conservatory roofs, as the actual roofing material is still transparent.
